Kings Re-Sign Richardson to Two-Year Contract

The Los Angeles Kings announced today that they have resigned center Brad Richardson to a two-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Richardson was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in June in exchange for a 2nd round draft pick in the 2008 draft. Last season, Richardson scored two goals and added three assists for five points in 22 games with the Colorado Avalanche. In three NHL seasons, all with Colorado, Richardson has 19 goals and 21 assists for 40 points and 48 penalty minutes in 136 games. The signing is a good one for the Kings, as Richardson brings promising offensive depth to the rebuilding team.
