The Boston Bruins announced today that they have acquired the rights to defenseman Steve Kampfer from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for their fourth round draft pick in either 2010 or 2011. Kampfer has appeared in 37 games this season with the University of Michigan, scoring two goals and 15 assists for 17 points and 48 penalty minutes. He was Anaheim's fourth round pick, 93rd overall, in the 2007 Entry Draft. Not a huge move by any means, but the Bruins have added some future defensive talent to their team.
