Oilers Acquire Marquardt from Bruins for Wild

The Edmonton Oilers announced today that they have acquired left wing Matt Marquardt from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Cody Wild. Marquardt has appeared in 42 games with the Providence Bruins of the AHL this season, scoring one goal and nine assists for 10 points. Wild has split time this season between Springfield of the AHL and Stockton of the ECHL. Both players have yet to appear in an NHL game. This is really just a minor trade for both teams. Marquardt will bring plenty of offensive depth for the Oilers' AHL affiliate, while Wild will provide the Bruins' AHL team with plenty of defensive depth.
