Predators Acquire Forward Boyd from Flames
The Nashville Predators added some offensive depth to their roster on Wednesday by acquiring center Dustin Boyd from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a fourth round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft. In 60 games this season with the Flames, he has eight goals and 11 assists for 19 points. In 192 career games, all with the Flames, he has 28 goals and 29 assists for 57 points. He will be a restricted free agent this summer. This is a decent move for the Predators, as Boyd brings them plenty of offensive depth. If he is given more of a chance in Nashville to play up to his potential than he was given in Calgary, Boyd could be a good pick-up for the Predators.
