Blackhawks Re-Sign Forward Skille to One-Year Contract

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced that they have re-signed right wing Jack Skille to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In six games last season with the Blackhawks, he had one goal and one assist. He also appeared in 63 games with Rockford of the AHL, scoring 23 goals and 26 assists for 49 points. Not a bad signing for the Blackhawks, as Skille has plenty of offensive potential and is also a fast skater. Given Chicago's salary cap situation and the number of salary dumping trades they have made in the off-season, Skille could very well make the team next season.
