The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced that they have avoided arbitration with defenseman Anton Stralman and re-signed him to a one-year contract. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In 73 games last season with the Blue Jackets, he had six goals and 28 assists for 34 points. Not a bad signing for Columbus, as Stralman is starting to develop into a decent puck-moving defenseman. He's also good on the power play and has a decent shot, making him an effective blueliner for the team.
