Blue Jackets Sign Goaltender LeNeveu
The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced that they have signed goaltender David LeNeveu to a one-year, two-way contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Last season he appeared in 34 games with Salzburg of the Austrian league, posting a 2.69 GAA and a .904 save percentage. This is really nothing more than a depth signing for the Blue Jackets, as LeNeveu will likely spend most of next season in the minors. If he does play with the Blue Jackets, it will likely be in the event of an injury, but will still probably be the backup in such a scenario.
