The Washington Capitals have announced that they have signed right wing Brian Willsie to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In four games last season with the Colorado Avalanche, he had no points. He also appeared in 75 games with Lake Erie of the AHL, scoring 26 goals and 31 assists for 57 points. This is really nothing more than a depth signing for the Capitals, as Willsie is likely to spend most of next season in the minors, where he will bring plenty of two-way and scoring depth to Hershey of the AHL.
