The Washington Capitals announced today that they have signed goaltender Dany Sabourin to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Not a bad depth signing for the Capitals, but they will likely go with Semyon Varlamov and Michal Neuvirth as their goaltending tandem next season. If either Varlamov or Neuvirth should struggle or miss time due to injury, Sabourin will provide solid goaltending skills as a backup.
