The New York Islanders have announced that they have avoided arbitration with left wing Matt Moulson and re-signed him to a one-year contract worth $2.45 million. In all 82 games last season with New York, he had 30 goals and 18 assists for 48 points. This is a good signing for the Islanders, as Moulson was one of their top players last season. He has good goal-scoring skills, works hard on the ice, and is decent on the power play. Look for Moulson to once again be one of the top scorers next season for the Islanders.
