Scott Walker Announces His Retirement
After 15 seasons in the NHL, right wing Scott Walker has announced his retirement from the NHL. In 42 games last season with the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals, he had five goals and three assists for eight points and 32 penalty minutes. In 829 career NHL games with the Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators, Carolina Hurricanes, and Washington Capitals, he has 151 goals and 246 assists for 397 points and 1162 penalty minutes. Throughout his NHL career, Walker was a very gritty player who could score goals and had tremendous leadership qualities. His contributions on the ice will be missed.
