Coyotes Acquire Ethan Werek from NY Rangers for Oscar Lindberg
The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that they have acquired center Ethan Werek from the New York Rangers in exchange for center Oscar Lindberg. In 47 games this past season with Kingston of the OHL, Werek had 24 goals and 28 assists for 52 points, while Lindberg had five goals and nine assists for 14 points in 41 games with Skelleftea HC of the Swedish Elite League. This is really just a depth trade for both teams at this time. Werek will bring some goal-scoring skill and size at center for the Coyotes, while Lindberg will some offensive depth at center for the Rangers.
