Blues Acquire Evgeny Grachev from NY Rangers
The St. Louis Blues announced on Saturday that they have acquired left wing Evgeny Grachev from the New York Rangers in exchange for a third round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft. The Rangers then used the pick to select center Steven Fogarty. In eight games last season with the Rangers, he had no points. He also appeared in 73 games with Connecticut of the AHL, scoring 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points. Not a bad move for the Blues, as Grachev has lots of offensive and two-way potential. He will likely fight hard for a roster spot at training camp in September.
