Blues Sign B.J. Crombeen to Two-Year Contract
The St. Louis Blues announced on Wednesday that they have signed center B.J. Crombeen to a two-year contract extension worth $2 million. The annual salary cap hit for his deal will be $1 million. He would have been a restricted free agent on July 1. In 80 games last season, he had seven goals and seven assists for 14 points and 154 penalty minutes. Not a bad depth signing for the Blues, as Crombeen plays with lots of grit and energy and can also contribute offensively from time to time. Look for him to continue to play a checking line role over the next two seasons.
