NY Islanders Sign Tomas Marcinko to One-Year Contract

The New York Islanders announced on Monday that they have signed center Tomas Marcinko to a one-year, two-way contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He would have been a restricted free agent on July 1. In 66 games last season with Bridgeport of the AHL, he had four goals and seven assists for 11 points. He has yet to appear in an NHL game. This is really just a depth signing for the Islanders, as Marcinko will likely spend the majority of next season in the minors.
