The San Jose Sharks have announced that they have signed defenseman Colin White to a one-year contract worth $1 million. He recently had the final year of his contract bought out by the New Jersey Devils, which made him an unrestricted free agent. In 69 games last season with the Devils, he had six assists. Not a bad signing for the Sharks, as White will add a lot of veteran depth to the team's defense. He is a decent defensive defenseman and plays with some grit, so he should be a good fit on San Jose's blueline.
