Devils Re-Sign Defenseman Andy Greene to Contract Extension
The New Jersey Devils announced on Wednesday that they have re-signed defenseman Andy Greene to a two-year contract extension. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Greene was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Devils last week, but still expressed interest in re-signing him. In 49 games last season with the Devils, he scored two goals and seven assist for nine points. Not a bad signing for the Devils, as Greene is a mobile, puck-moving defenseman. He will likely be a sixth or seventh defenseman on the Devils next season used mainly for depth.
