Hurricanes Re-Sign Forward Larose to Two-Year Deal

The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Thursday that they have re-signed right wing Chad Larose to a two-year contract worth $3.4 million. The deal averages out to $1.7 million per season. In 81 games last season with the Hurricanes, Larose scored 19 goals and 12 assists for 31 points. In 268 career games, all with the Hurricanes, he has 37 goals and 48 assists for 85 points. This is a great signing for the Hurricanes, as Larose has quickly become a good role-player on the team. He’s excellent on the penalty kill, plays with plenty of grit, and has great offensive talent. Look for his production to increase next season for the Hurricanes. Larose’s $1.7 million per season is a bargain, as he could have earned twice that amount on the open market.
