Islanders Re-Sign Schremp, Kohn
The New York Islanders have announced that they have re-signed center Rob Schremp and defenseman Dustin Kohn to one-year contracts. Financial terms of both deals were not disclosed. Schremp had seven goals and 18 assists for 25 points in 44 games last season, while Kohn had four assists in 22 games. These are decent signings for the Islanders, as both players have plenty of promise. Schremp has plenty of offensive potential and has the ability to score goals and has good passing skills. Kohn plays a physical game and plays a sound defensive game. Schremp is basically a lock for the Islanders' roster next season, and Kohn could very well make the team as a sixth or seventh defenseman.
