NY Islanders Re-Sign Defenseman Reese

The New York Islanders have announced that they have re-signed defenseman Dylan Reese to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He was acquired by the Islanders on March 1 from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward Greg Moore. In 19 games last season with New York, he had two goals and two assists for four points. He also appeared in 52 games with Syracuse and Bridgeport of the AHL, scoring five goals and 19 assists for 24 points. Not a bad signing for the Islanders, as Reese was decent in his few games with the team last season. He's a very mobile defenseman with some puckmoving skill, so it wouldn't surprise me if he plays most of next season with the Islanders.
