Bruins Re-Sign Patrice Bergeron to Three-Year Deal
The Boston Bruins announced today that they have signed center Patrice Bergeron to a three-year contract extension worth $15 million. The deal will average out to $5 million per season. In 73 games last season with the Bruins, he had 19 goals and 33 assists for 52 points. In 376 career NHL games, all with the Bruins, he has 99 goals and 181 assists for 280 points. Not a bad signing for Boston, as Bergeron brings lots of two-way skill to the team. Despite having concussion issues over the past few seasons and being limited offensively as a result, he still provides lots of offensive talent and passing skills to the team, especially on the power play.
