Ducks Acquire Nate Guenin from Blue Jackets for Trevor Smith
The Anaheim Ducks announced today that they have acquired defenseman Nate Guenin from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for left wing Trevor Smith. Guenin has appeared in three games this season with the Blue Jackets, scoring no points. Smith has played in 35 games with Syracuse of the AHL this season, scoring 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points. He has yet to appear in an NHL game this season. This is nothing more than a swap of minor leaguers for both teams, as both players will likely play the rest of the season in the AHL.
