Capitals Sign Defenseman Zach Miskovic to One-Year Contract

The Washington Capitals announced today that they have signed defenseman Zach Miskovic to a one-year contract extension. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He would have been eligible for restricted free agency this summer. In 58 games this past season with Hershey of the AHL, he had seven goals and nine assists for 16 points and 58 penalty minutes. This is really just a depth signing for the Capitals, as Miskovic will likely spend next season in the AHL once again, where he will provide plenty of defensive depth for Hershey.
