NY Rangers Sign Chad Kolarik to Contract Extension

The New York Rangers announced on Friday that they have signed right wing Chad Kolarik to a contract extension. The exact length and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He would have been a Group Six unrestricted free agent on July 1. In four games last season with the Rangers, he had no points. He also appeared in 49 games with Springfield and Connecticut of the AHL, scoring 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points. This is really just a depth signing for the Rangers, as Kolarik will likely spend most of next season in the minors.
