According to thehockeynews.com, the Minnesota Wild have signed defenseman Nate Prosser to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He would have been a restricted free agent on July 1. In two games this past season with the Wild, he had no points. He also appeared in 73 games with Houston of the AHL, scoring eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points. Not a bad depth signing for the Wild, as Prosser has good size and some offensive potential. However, he will more than likely spend most of next season in the minors.
