The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they have signed defenseman Andrew Hutchinson to a one-year, two-way contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. In 78 games last season with Texas of the AHL, he had nine goals and 29 assists for 38 points. Not a bad depth signing for the Penguins, although Hutchinson is likely to spend most of next season in the minors. He has decent offensive skill and is good at moving the puck, so he should make a nice addition to the Penguins' AHL affiliate.
