Oilers Acquire Bryan Rodney from Ducks for Ryan O'Marra
The Edmonton Oilers have announced that they have acquired defenseman Bryan Rodney from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for center Ryan O'Marra. In 41 games with Syracuse of the AHL, Rodney had five goals and 15 assists for 20 points. He has yet to appear in an NHL game this season. O'Marra appeared in seven games with the Ducks, recording one assist. He also played in 40 games with Oklahoma City of the AHL, scoring eight goals and nine assists for 17 points. This is really just a depth move for both teams, as both players will more than likely finish the season in the minors.

Oilers Re-Sign Peckham, O'Marra; Add Greg Stewart
The Edmonton Oilers have announced that they have re-signed defenseman Theo Peckham and center Ryan O'Marra to one-year contracts. The team also announced that they have signed free agent left wing Greg Stewart to a one-year contract. The financial terms of all three deals were not disclosed. These aren't bad signings for the Oilers. Peckham has some stay-at-home qualities and also plays with lots of toughness, while O'Marra brings versatility to the forward lines and some physical play. Stewart also plays with lots grit and toughness, but doesn't have a lot of offensive upside, so he will likely be a fourth line winger for the team.
