Kings Sign Forward Parse to Two-Year Contract Extension
The Los Angeles Kings have announced that they have signed left wing Scott Parse to a two-year contract extension. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. He would have been a free agent on July 1. In 59 games this past season with the Kings, his first in the NHL, he scored 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points. He also appeared in 14 games with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, scoring four goals and 11 assists for 15 points. Not a bad depth signing for the Kings, as Parse has decent playmaking skills and is a very versatile forward who can play both wings. He will likely play on either the third or fourth line next season.

Kings Re-Sign Forward Parse to One-Year Contract
The Los Angeles Kings announced last week that they have re-signed right wing Scott Parse to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Parse did not play in any NHL games last season, instead appearing in 74 games with their AHL affiliate in Manchester. He scored 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points. This is really just a depth signing for the Kings, as Parse will probably play another season in the minors before he gets any consideration for a roster spot on the team.
