Panthers Sign Defensemen Weaver and Callahan

The Florida Panthers have announced that they have signed defenseman Mike Weaver to a two-year contract and defenseman Joe Callahan to a one-year contract worth $525,000. The financial terms of Weaver's contract were not disclosed. Weaver is not a bad depth signing for the Panthers, as he will bring plenty of defensive depth to the blueline. Callahan is nothing more than a depth signing for the team and will likely spend most of next season in the minors.
